N8 Executive Management Group

The N8 Research Partnership Executive Management Group has overall responsibility for delivery of N8 AgriFood at their respective universities and comprises the Pro-Vice-Chancellors for Research from each university. This Group meets six times annually.

N8 AgriFood External Advisory Board

The N8 AgriFood External Advisory Board bring a wealth and variety of expertise in many aspects of the agri-food sector, representing policy, academia, the agri-food industry, finance, agricultural and consumer organisations with both national and international perspectives. Our Board challenge and stimulate discussion on the strategy and direction of N8 AgriFood and represent an invaluable resource to help ensure the success of our programme. Download biographies here

N8 AgriFood Academic Director

Reporting to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research at York, the Academic Director has overall responsibility for running the Programme. These responsibilities include providing academic leadership and direction, as well as strategic planning and oversight of the Operations and Business Development Director. Working with the Academic Director are three Academic Theme Leads with responsibility for managing the research in each theme. In addition to their academic responsibilities, each Theme Lead has responsibility for one major area of underpinning activity:

  • Programme Integration and Multi-Disciplinary Research
  • International Strategy
  • End-User Engagement

The award holder for the HEFCE award is the Pro-­Vice Chancellor for Research at the University of York and a signed collaboration agreement for the N8 AgriFood Resilience programme agreed by all eight N8 universities is in place.
